We are a friendly bunch of divers, and fortunate enough to have some excellent facilities, like an 8 metre twin-engined RHIB, storage and changing rooms, a 232/300 bar air compressor, on-site nitrox and trimix gas fills, and a bar / restaurant.
We offer recreational diving most of the year, often two to three times a week, including weekends.
Guest divers (Sports Diver or equivalent) with UK diving experience are welcome from any agency.
We meet every Wednesday evening in the bar upstairs at Sussex Yacht Club, and anyone is welcome to come along.
Scuba diving is an adventure open to anyone aged 10 or over, and Brighton BSAC provides high quality training for beginners.
Try scuba divingQualified with PADI or another agency? Great! Joining our club is a fantastic way to develop your diving or simply have fun.
Already a diver?Whether you’re already qualified to scuba dive and want to extend your training, you’re completely new to diving, or you are looking to get back in the water after a break from diving, we can help. It’s important to highlight that like most BSAC clubs, Brighton BSAC is a club run by volunteer divers on behalf of the club members – we are not a commercial dive centre.
For new divers we start in the safe confines of the pool, a BSAC Instructor will introduce you to the basic skills and equipment needed to experience the thrill of breathing underwater for the very first time with the help of our BSAC-qualified instructors.
Further training takes place in the classroom, in confined water, and in the open sea. We are a club rather than a dive centre, so all our instructors are volunteers, which helps keep the cost as low as possible.
